Quando a morte triunfa : trabalho e alienação em O Triunfo da Morte

Abstract

O presente estudo analisa O Triunfo da Morte (1981), de Agusto Abelaira, sob a luz do universo de representações criado na narrativa. Em um discurso que dialoga com a ciência, a filosofia e a história, Abelaira traz os desencantos e o aprendizado que sua geração pôde sintetizar entre o saber acumulado e a realidade da época. Dessa forma, cria uma narrativa que conta com a combinação entre fantástico e alegórico, como recurso literário, para delinear o que chamamos de esquema de representações da sociedad do trabalho. A nós interessa, especialmente, o diálogo travado com o materialismo histórico-dialético, mais especificamente, os conceitos de trabalho e alienação.

The current research analyses O Triunfo da Morte (1981), by Augusto Abelaira, down the influence of the universe of representations created in the narrative. In a speech that dialogues with the science, the philosophy and the history, Abelaira brings the disenchantment and the learning that his generation can synthesize between the accumulated knowledge and the reality of the time. These way, he creates a narrative it counts with the combination between fantastic and allegorical, like literary device, to underline what we call scheme of representations of the labor society. We are interested, specially, in the dialogue he has with the historical and dialectical materialism, especifically, the concepts of work and alienation.
