O presente trabalho visa explorar através de uma análise comparativa quantitativa em nível nacional o vínculo entre as esferas política e religiosa, concedendo especial atenção ao segmento evangélico pentecostal, e também à dimensão cultural do fenômeno democrático. O primeiro tem obtido considerável notoriedade na arena política e exponencial aumento de adeptos no Brasil; enquanto o segundo tem sido presença constante na agenda de pesquisa da ciência política atualmente. Valendo-nos de variáveis extensamente utilizadas em estudos políticos culturais, contidas no ESEB 2010, nosso objetivo volta-se à constatação de possíveis distinções atitudinais proporcionadas pela interferência da prática religiosa em relação aos requisitos necessários ao aperfeiçoamento democrático da população. Espera-se, ao final de nossa análise, que haja um escalonamento entre os grupos religiosos, sendo possível constatar o posicionamento dos evangélicos pentecostais, a partir do conjunto de suas opiniões, frente ao paradigma democrático maximalista. ...
