Uma esquina de testemunhos, um projeto de memórias: a musealização do patrimônio cultural do Bar Ocidente

Abstract

O Bar Ocidente está localizado na Rua João Telles, esquina com a Avenida Osvaldo Aranha, no centro do Bairro Bom Fim em Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil). Inaugurado em 3 de dezembro de 1980, 5 anos antes do fim da Ditadura Militar no Brasil, o Bar transformou-se rapidamente de um local marginalizado e “agitador” para o principal ponto alternativo de Porto Alegre, considerado Patrimônio Cultural da Cidade. Dessa forma, levando em consideração a importância cultural do Bar Ocidente e a participação da autora nos projetos “Bar Ocidente: Memória Cultural de Porto Alegre” e “Acessibilidade, Direitos Culturais e Preservação do Acervo do Bar Ocidente,” este trabalho buscou compreender como se deu o processo de musealização para a constituição do Acervo Digital Bar Ocidente levando em consideração a identidade cultural dos grupos urbanos frequentadores do Bar. Como objetivos, procurou-se identificar os sujeitos envolvidos nos Projetos e os critérios de seleção, incorporação e comunicação adotados, buscando também discutir como são representados os grupos frequentadores do Bar através das práticas de musealização empregadas. Por último discuti-se a representatividade do patrimônio digital recém-lançado na web como potencial comunicacional na área da Museologia. Este trabalho fez uso de uma metodologia de cunho qualitativo e como técnica de coleta de dados foram realizadas entrevistas do tipo semiestruturada e não diretiva, além da análise documental de todo material gerado e/ou consultado pelos Projetos. Conclui que a criação do Acervo Digital Bar Ocidente foi resultado de uma primeira experiência dos envolvidos, mas sua existência tornou acessível um acervo antes disponível apenas ao dono do Bar. Também conclui que novas práticas são necessárias no que diz respeito à preservação do patrimônio digital no campo da Museologia.

The Bar Ocidente is located in Rua João Telles , corner of Avenida Osvaldo Aranha, the center of the Bom Fim neighborhood in Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil ) and is the brand new "Esquina Maldita", chosen by the orphans, students and revelers of the first "Esquina Maldita" classical space of contestation and culture. Inaugurated on December 3, 1980, five years before the end of the military dictatorship in Brazil, the Bar Ocidente quickly became of a place marginalized and "shaker" to the main alternative point in Porto Alegre, is considered Cultural Heritage of the city. Thus, taking into consideration the cultural importance of the Bar Ocidente and participation of the author in the projects "Bar Ocidente: Cultural Memory in Porto Alegre" and "Accessibility, Cultural Rights and the Preservation of Bar Ocidente Collection" this paper aimed to understand the process of musealization of the testimonies collected at Bar Ocidente which culminated in the creation of the "Digital Archive Bar Ocidente", taking into consideration the cultural identity of Bar Ocidente’s urban groups. Objectives, sought to identify the subjects involved in the Projects and the criteria for selection, annexation and communication adopted, seeking also discuss how the groups are represented by the practices of musealization employed. Finally this paper intend discuss the representativeness of the digital heritage newly situated in web, and believe that this type of communication as a potential area to Museums Studies. This paper made use of a qualitative methodology and as a technique for data collection, interviews were conducted semistructured type and open ended, and document analysis of all material generated and / or consulted by the Project. Concludes that the creation of the “Digital Archive Bar Ocidente” was the result of a first experience of those involved, but its existence has enabled the dissemination of a collection previously available only to the owner of the Bar. Also concludes that new practices are needed with regard to the preservation of digital heritage in the field of Museums Studies.
