Estudo do samba dançado : no pé e na alma, na quadra e na avenida

Abstract

A dança que chamamos popularmente de samba no pé, acontece a partir de diversos olhares: há quem acredite que sambar seja um dom; outros pensam que seja uma questão de determinação; também existem aqueles que consideram que aulas formais são o caminho para esta arte; há inclusive, aqueles que juram que jamais serão capazes de aprendê-lo. Motivado pela existência destes diversos pontos de vista e pela imersão da autora no universo carnavalesco, este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar como se dá a aprendizagem do samba no pé, por indivíduos que formam os casais de passistas da escola de samba Sociedade Beneficente Cultural Bambas da Orgia, da cidade de Porto Alegre. Para isso foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com os passistas dessa escola; análises de documentários e vídeos na temática da investigação e pesquisas bibliográficas no sentido de fundamentar o estudo sobre a aprendizagem do samba no pé nesse contexto. Questionam-se as relações de aprendizagem e ensino do samba no pé em ambientes populares, articulando as informações que surgiram nas entrevistas com as falas dos pesquisadores consultados e a experiência pessoal da autora. Assim, conclui-se que o samba no pé, como outras danças, pode ser aprendido por todas as pessoas, independente de questões físicas, raciais e econômicas, com ou sem uma declarada intenção de ensino. Contudo percebeu-se que em geral, é aprendido de forma espontânea, a partir da observação e imersão no contexto onde a dança ocorre, ainda que existam propostas de organizar estes diversos saberes e potencialidades particulares numa ação intencional, seja em oficinas, aulas ou ensaios.

The dance popularly called "samba no pé" happens from several perspectives: some believe that dancing samba is a gift; others think it is a matter of determination; there are also those who believe that formal classes are the way to this art; and there are even those who swear they will never be able to learn it. Motivated by the existence of these different viewpoints and by this author's immersion in the universe of carni - val, this paper aimed at investigating how the individuals who form the couples of “passistas” at the samba school Cultural Charitable Society Bambas da Orgia, in Porto Alegre, learn the samba no pé. For this, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the passistas of that school, analyzes were carried out of documentaries and videos on the research subject, and literature searches were performed in order to support the study on the teaching of samba no pé in that setting. The relations of the teaching and learning of samba no pé in popular environments were discussed, and the information that emerged from the interviews was connected with the speech of the researchers referred to, and with this author’s personal experience. Thus, it was concluded that the samba no pé, like other dances, can be learned by all people, regardless of physical, racial and economic issues, with or without a declared intention of teaching. However, it was perceived that, in general, this dance is learned spontaneously, from the observation and immersion in the setting where it takes place, although there are proposals to organize these diverse knowledge and capabilities in a particular intentional action, whether in workshops, lessons or rehearsals.
