Federação Rio-Grandense de Tênis : mudanças impostas pelo decreto-lei no. 3.199 de 1941

Abstract

A Federação Gaúcha de Tênis (FGT) foi fundada em 1929 por dirigentes de clubes da cidade de Porto Alegre e funcionou com certa autonomia até o início da década de 1940, quando o campo esportivo foi regulamentado no país pelo Decreto-Lei n° 3.199 de 14 de abril de 1941. O estudo objetiva interpretar o processo de reorganização da Federação Gaúcha de Tênis a partir da promulgação do Decreto-Lei n° 3.199 de 1941. As fontes consultadas foram relatórios da FGT, jornais, revistas e entrevista. A criação da FGT causou um forte impacto no desenvolvimento do tênis não apenas em Porto Alegre, mas no Rio Grande do Sul, na medida em que foram fundados outros clubes que se filiaram à entidade. Além disso, a FGT difundiu os campeonatos no Estado, permitindo a oficialização dos títulos, assim como o registro dos mesmos. Esta federação esportiva desempenhou um papel decisivo no processo de fundação da Confederação Brasileira de Tênis.

Rio Grande do Sul’s Tennis Federation (RSTF) was founded in 1929 by Porto Alegre’s clubs chair people and functioned with certain autonomy until the beginning of the 1940’s, when sportive field was regulated in the country by the enactment n.° 3199 of April, 14th, 1941. The study aims to interpret the process of reorganization of Rio Grande do Sul’s Tennis Federation from the promulgation of the enactment n. ° 3199 of April, 14th of 1941. The consulted sources were RSTF’s reports, newspapers, magazines and interview. RSTF’s creation caused a strong impact in tennis development not only in Porto Alegre, but in Rio Grande do Sul, since other clubs were founded and aggregated to the entity. Besides, RSTF spread the championships in the states, allowing to officialize the titles, just as the avaliation of them. This sportive federation performed a decisive rule in the process of the fundation of the Brazilian Tennis Federation.
