dc.description.abstract | The goal of this work is to make a theoretical revision of the integer quantum Hall e ect, discovered in 1980 by Klaus von Klitzing and collaborators. The quantization of the Hall conductivity is interpreted through the concepts of geometrical phases and gauge invariance, from the perspective of Laughlin's thought experiment and of the Nakano-Kubo linear response formula. | en |
