Language e aquisição : um estudo conceitual nos campos de L2 e L3

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo verificar que noções a palavra language engloba no contexto dos campos de aquisição de língua 2 e de língua 3 e se ela constitui um conceito neste contexto. Na Seção 1, são apresentados esclarecimentos gerais a respeito das escolhas terminológicas e de corpus feitas para o presente trabalho. O corpus é teórico e composto de 3 livros, sendo dois deles a respeito do campo de aquisição de língua 2 e um a respeito do campo de aquisição de língua 3. Na Seção 2, é apresentada uma breve história do nascimento e desenvolvimento dos dois campos citados acima, com suas principais hipóteses, teorias e seu contexto de surgimento. Na Seção 3, subdividida, em três partes, algumas teorias linguísticas e não linguísticas relevantes para o surgimento dos campos de aquisição de língua 2 e de língua 3 são visitadas, assim como são investigados os usos da palavra language nos próprios campos enfocados. Na Subseção 3.1, apresenta-se a teoria behaviorista de modo a compreender que noção language abarcava naquele contexto. Na Subseção 3.2 é a vez da teoria gerativista ser estudada para entender como o conceito language era articulado nela e que noções cabiam nele. Na Subseção 3.3, a palavra language é investigada diretamente nos textos do corpus teórico deste trabalho, ou seja, nos trabalhos dos campos de aquisição de línguas 2 e 3 para averiguar que noções ela compreende nesse contexto e finalmente, se ela é ou não conceito e se é compartilhado pelos dois campos ou se existem conceitos diferentes para cada um deles. Vemos, também, ao longo do trabalho, de que maneira a herança teórica foi passada das teorias behaviorista e gerativista para os campos aqui enfocados e como as noções de language mudaram em cada um dos contextos estudados aqui.

The goal of this work is to verify which notions the word language embodies in the context of the Second Language Acquisition and Third Language Acquisition fields and if it constitutes a concept in this context. In Section 1, general clarifications are made concerning the terminological and corpus choices for the present work. The corpus is theoretical and it is composed of 3 books, 2 of them being related to the Second Language Acquisition field and one of them being related to the Third Language Acquisition field. In Section 2, a brief history of the birth and development of both fields is presented, with their main hypothesis, theories and their contexts of emergence. In Section 3, which is subdivided into three parts, some linguistic theories that were relevant to the emergence of the Second and Third Language Acquisition fields are visited, and the uses of the word language in these fields are investigated. In Subsection 3.1, the behaviorist theory is presented in order to understand what notion language embodies in this context. In Subsection 3.2 it is time to study the generative theory to understand how the language concept was articulated in it and which notions it comprehended. In Subsection 3.3, the word language is investigated directly in the texts from the theoretical corpus of this work, i.e., in the works and studies of Second and Third Language Acquisition fields, so as to verify which notions it encompasses in this context and finally, if it is or is not a concept and if it is shared by both fields or if there are different concepts for each of them. During this work we also understand in which ways the theoretical heritage was passed on from the behaviorist and generative theories to the fields that are the focus of this work and how the notions of language changed in each of the contexts presently studied.
