Futebol de várzea : uma opção de lazer

Abstract

O presente estudo é uma pesquisa acerca da escolha do futebol de várzea como uma opção de lazer. A revisão bibliográfica deste estudo primeiramente contextualiza o futebol de várzea, e depois faz uma breve introdução no histórico do lazer, traz conceitos sobre o que é lazer, e finaliza no tópico que trata da escolha de um esporte como opção de lazer. Dentre as inúmeras alternativas para práticas esportivas, escolhi o futebol de várzea como tema desta pesquisa, a fim de entender à prática de um futebol em que há disputas de campeonatos, e que essa escolha foi pautada em uma opção de lazer para seus praticantes. O objetivo deste trabalho foi descrever como o futebol de várzea e seus significados se relacionam com o lazer e com as outras dimensões da vida dos praticantes. Para isso, selecionei cinco integrantes do Atlético Porto, time que disputou as fases eliminatórias do Campeonato Municipal de Porto Alegre de Futebol de Várzea, categoria Livre, série A, do ano de 2012, e tratei estes indivíduos como informantes privilegiados, que me deram condições de abranger os diferentes aspectos da realidade observada. Os sujeitos participantes da pesquisa assinaram um termo de consentimento livre e esclarecido autorizando a entrevista e a posterior publicação dos dados. A discussão dos dados obtidos nesta pesquisa foi pautada em três categorias, definidas por mim, a partir da divisão das seis qualidades do Lazer Sério propostas por Stebbins (2007), além de um tópico em que abordei o futebol de várzea como uma das esferas da vida para os colaboradores deste estudo. Compreendi que para aquele grupo estudado, optar por uma atividade que envolve a competição e que tem um caráter de seriedade está ligado ao fato deles gostarem daquilo, e que estes e outros aspectos citados neste trabalho fazem com que o futebol de várzea represente uma parcela significativa na vida desses sujeitos.

This study is a research on the choice of amateur football as an option of leisure. The bibliographic review of this study, firstly, contextualizes amateur football, secondly makes a brief introduction on leisure history and brings concepts about what leisure is, and ends on the topic that deals with the choice of a sport as an option of leisure. Among the numerous alternatives for sports practices, the theme chosen for this research was amateur football, in order to understand the practice of soccer in which championships are played, and that this choice was based on a leisure option for its participants. The objective of this research was to describe how amateur football and its meanings relate with leisure and the other dimensions of its participants lives. For that, 5(five) members of Atlético Porto, team that played the knockout phases of the Porto Alegre Municipal Amateur Football Championship, free category, A series, 2012, were selected and treated as privileged informants, which gave me conditions to embrace the different aspects of the observed reality. These selected participants signed a term of free and enlightened consent authorizing the interview and the subsequent publication of the data. The discussion of the data obtained in this study was based on 3 (three) categories, defined by me, from the division of the six qualities of the serious leisure, proposed by Stebbins (2007), and from a topic in which I treated amateur football as one of the spheres of life for the participants on the study. I came to the conclusion that for the selected group to choose for an activity that involves competition and has a character of seriousness is connected with the fact that they like it, and that this and other aspects cited in this study makes amateur football represent a significant portion of this people’s lives.
