Análise bibliométrica da produção científica de pesquisadores e referências de um periódico da engenharia de produção

Abstract

O estudo trata da aplicação das técnicas bibliométricas à Engenharia de Produção e tem como objetivo analisar a produção científica dos autores que publicaram na “Revista Gestão & Produção”. Para tanto, foram estipulados objetivos específicos que correspondem aos dois artigos que constituem esse trabalho. O primeiro artigo intitulado “Análise bibliométrica da produção científica de pesquisadores: um estudo a partir de publicações no periódico Gestão & Produção” teve a finalidade de efetuar uma análise bibliométrica da produção científica de pesquisadores da Engenharia de Produção e suas subáreas a partir das publicações realizadas na “Revista Gestão & Produção” no período de 1994 a 2011. O segundo artigo intitulado “Análise de referências utilizadas por pesquisadores: um estudo a partir das publicações realizadas no periódico Gestão & Produção” teve a finalidade de efetuar uma análise das referências listadas nos artigos das publicações regulares da “Revista Gestão & Produção” através da adaptação dos conceitos da bibliometria. A metodologia adotada foi a pesquisa com abordagem quantitativa aplicada com as técnicas bibliométricas, aliando-se a pesquisa exploratória ao primeiro artigo e descritiva ao segundo. Como resultados, no primeiro artigo identificou-se o perfil dos autores que contribuem no periódico, bem como a presença significativa e inserção da revista junto às instituições de ensino de Engenharia de Produção e suas subáreas; já no segundo artigo analisou-se os principais aspectos das fontes de pesquisas referentes à temporalidade, idioma, frequência de uso das referências e frente de pesquisa dos trabalhos que fundamentaram os artigos publicados no periódico.

The study concerns the application of bibliometric techniques to the Production Engineering and aims to analyze the scientific production of authors who published in the "Gestão & Produção Magazine". Thus, we set specific goals that correspond to the two articles that make up this work. The first article entitled "Bibliometric analysis of scientific research: a study based on publications in the journal Gestão & Produção" aimed to make a bibliometric analysis of scientific research of Production Engineering and its sub-areas from publications held in the "Gestão & Produção Magazine" from 1994 to 2011. The second article entitled "Analysis of reference applied to the Production Engineering: a study based on scientific productions of the journal Management & Production" aimed to make an analysis of the references listed in the articles of the regular publications of "Magazine & Production Management" by adapting the concepts of bibliometrics. The methodology was the research with a quantitative approach and applied bibliometric techniques, with the first article allied to the exploratory and descriptive and the second with the strategy field. As a result, the first article identified the profile of the contributing authors in the journal, as well as the significant presence and insertion of the magazine with the educational institutions of Production Engineering and its sub-areas, whereas in the second article we identified the major aspects of research on sources of temporality, language, frequency of use of references and research front that the works state reasons the articles published in the journal.
