O presente trabalho analisa a necessidade de um Estado interventor em uma economia capitalista, composta, entre outras coisas, por falhas de mercado. O presente trabalho analisa a necessidade de um Estado interventor em uma economia capitalista, composta, entre outras coisas, por falhas de mercado. A tributação é abordada como a principal fonte de renda do Estado, sendo necessária para que ele possa cumprir as suas funções em busca do bem-estar social. Devido à existência de práticas tidas como ilegais, como a sonegação fiscal, a necessidade da regulamentação fiscal é exposta para evitar perdas na receita governamental. A questão dos preços de transferência é amplamente discutida, pois quando ele, sendo o preço utilizado entre empresas vinculadas, situadas em diferentes jurisdições tributárias, for praticado fora dos padrões legais da legislação brasileira, é considerado um tipo de sonegação fiscal. Esta sonegação ocorre através da redução ilegal da base do lucro tributável de uma empresa. Através da prática de preços artificiais com vinculadas, uma empresa pode ampliar seus custos ou reduzir receitas, por exemplo. Além disso, esta questão representa uma característica do sistema capitalista globalizado, pois este é composto por agentes que buscam sempre ampliar seus ganhos, e demonstra que o sistema como um todo permanece em constante mutação. ...
