Medicina integrativa no tratamento de linfoma canino

Abstract

Os avanços da medicina veterinária estão possibilitando que os animais vivam por mais tempo. O envelhecimento e a convivência mais próxima com seus donos estão fazendo com que tenhamos cada vez mais casos de tumores em pequenos animais. Entre os tumores freqüentemente encontrados na rotina clínica está o linfoma. As terapias integrativas representam um grande potencial para a cura do câncer, que continua com sua busca incansável. Por meio das técnicas de Medicina Tradicional Chinesa e dietoterapia é possível melhorar a qualidade de vida de pacientes com linfoma, aliviando a dor e os efeitos colaterais decorrentes de terapias convencionais. A literatura apresenta vários relatos de cura de alguns tipos de tumores pelo uso da Medicina Tradicional Chinesa, uma medicina milenar, mas que ainda sofre preconceito da sociedade médica ocidental, uma vez que a padronização desses tratamentos é complicada pela interferência de fatores individuais de cada paciente.

Advances in veterinary medicine are enabling the animals to live longer. The aging and Living closer to their owners are causing more cases of tumors in small animals. Among the tumors most frequently found in the veterinary clinical routine is the lymphoma. The integrative therapies represent a great potencial for curing cancer, which continues its cure restless. Through the techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine and diet therapy can improve the life quality of patients with lymphoma, relieving pain and side effects caused by conventional therapies. The literature contains several reports of cure of some types of tumors through the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine, an ancient medicine, but that still suffers prejudice of Western medical society, because the standardization of these treatments is complicated by the interference of individual factors of each patient.
