The phenomenon of the home advantage and their influence on the match outcome of several team sports is an issue that has attracted a great interest of many researchers in recent years. However we found few studies on this subject in volleyball, so it is important that there is the presence of home advantage in this sport and their implications in the actions of the game. Thus the study aims to analyze the home advantage in volleyball high performance and its influence on certain game actions. The study sample consists of 800 games (400 at home and 400 away from home) of Female Volleyball Championship. In order to check if some variable scorer interfered with the outcome of the game (win or loss), we analyzed the following events that punctuate the game of Volleyball: serve, attack, and blocking the opponent's error. In the statistical procedures for describing the tables mean and standard deviation to test the association between different parameters of analysis by chi-square (X2) and Cramer's V. For comparisons we used the independent T-Test. We used a one-way ANOVA followed by post-hoc test of Scheffé to identify the variables that contribute to the discrimination result. The level of significance was 5%. The results showed the existence of home advantage in volleyball, local teams won 56.5% of the matches, in addition, they scored more serve points in comparison to the away teams, and this difference is significant. The visiting teams, when win their matches, scored more points in relation to local teams when they win and the block and "opponent error" are directly associated with victory, both the local team as the visiting team. The results presented in this study suggest the existence of home advantage in volleyball and the variables that can influence the result of the match are the blocking and "opponent error".en
