Traduções cerâmicas

Abstract

O presente texto tem como objetivo mostrar o estímulo original e decorrente processo de criação de três conjuntos de peças cerâmicas que foram apresentados em banca de conclusão de curso em Artes Plásticas pela UFRGS. O ponto focal deste trabalho reside na tradução de obras musicais em objetos cerâmicos, em uma adaptação livre feita a partir da percepção da autora. A plasticidade de cada conjunto busca corresponder às nuances encontradas na melodia, ritmo e intensidade dos trechos musicais analisados. O resultado não é uma versão de entendimento universal, como o são as partituras musicais, mas sim uma leitura poética influenciada tanto pelas características próprias de cada textura musical escolhida como pelos referenciais prévios da autora. Este projeto exercita a ação de dar forma ao que naturalmente é intangível.

This paper aims to show the original stimulus and resulting process of creating three sets of ceramic pieces that were presented as final requisite for completion of Plastic Arts graduation at UFRGS. The focal point of this work lies in the translation of musical pieces into ceramic objects, made in a free adaptation from the author’s perspective. The plasticity of each set is intended to correspond to the nuances found in the melody, rhythm and intensity of the musical excerpts analyzed. The result is not a version of universal understanding, as are the musical scores, but a poetic reading influenced both by the characteristics of each musical texture chosen and the previous references of the author. This project exercises the action of giving shape to things that are naturally intangible.
