O presente trabalho analisa o ritmo de reportagens nos telejornais brasileiros Jornal Nacional (TV Globo) e Repórter Brasil (TV Brasil), e no telejornal britânico BBC News (BBC). O presente trabalho analisa o ritmo de reportagens nos telejornais brasileiros Jornal Nacional (TV Globo) e Repórter Brasil (TV Brasil), e no telejornal britânico BBC News (BBC). O percurso teórico contempla a discussão a respeito do propriamente televisivo, englobando as ethicidades televisivas, molduras e imaginários televisíveis; também discute o estatuto das imagens técnicas que nos rodeiam, como as produzidas pela televisão; além de fazer uma revisão das teorias de montagem de Eisenstein e das formas de aceleração de ritmo, considerando os fundamentos de edição no telejornalismo, em especial no que tange o estabelecimento do ritmo. A partir destas discussões, foi possível identificar, entre tantos, dois fatores que exercem influência no ritmo da edição: o tempo de duração dos takes e o uso de sobe sons e pausas. Quantificando-se estes dois aspectos chegou-se a índices de ritmo das reportagens analisadas e verificou-se que o telejornal britânico apresenta, na maioria das vezes, um ritmo mais lento e com frequente uso de sobe sons e pausas, enquanto os telejornais brasileiros são mais acelerados e bem mais econômicos nas pausas e sobe sons. Inclusive o Repórter Brasil, produzido por uma TV pública, é mais distante da também pública BBC nos aspectos citados do que o Jornal Nacional. ...
