Abstract
This study aims to identify the dynamic characteristics of the shell from the species Anomalocardia brasiliana under the influence of turbulent water flow, focusing on the motion threshold. Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations with the k- ω SST turbulence model in a steady state, the fluid-dynamic behavior of the shell is investigated in four distinct orientations, with the concavity facing downward. The results reveal significant variations in drag and lift forces depending on ...
The results reveal significant variations in drag and lift forces depending on the shell's orientation, identifying the most stable configuration and the one most susceptible to the threshold of motion. These findings corroborate previous experimental observations and contribute to the understanding of fluid structure interactions in turbulent aquatic environments. ...
