O elo entre o ensino de ciências, o letramento científico e a educação em espaços não formais a partir de um clube de ciências

Abstract

A presente dissertação apresenta uma pesquisa que foi realizada no Programa de Pós- Graduação em Educação em Ciências: Química da Vida e Saúde pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e embasou-se na criação de um clube de ciências no município de Dom Pedrito, no interior sulista do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. O clube tinha como objetivo levar os estudantes a visitar espaços educacionais que fugissem dos muros da escola, ou seja, os espaços não formais em educação aliados ao ensino de ciências em busca do letramento científico dos estudantes. O clube foi instalado na Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Heloisa Louzada com estudantes do 6º e do 7º ano que participaram das atividades no turno inverso ao das aulas. Os estudantes foram levados a quatro diferentes espaços do município que poderiam potencializar o território educativo da cidade a fim de buscar novas experiências no ensino de ciências. A análise dos dados coletados foi embasada na análise de conteúdos de Laurence Bardin a partir de um questionário feito com os estudantes e também do diário de campo que foi sendo escrito ao longo dos encontros. Os resultados obtidos com a pesquisa foram satisfatórios e alcançaram todos os objetivos que foram propostos no início da elaboração da pesquisa, demostrando a grande importância do elo entre o ensino de ciências, o letramento científico e a educação em espaços não formais dentro de um clube de ciências.

The present dissertation presents a research that was executed in the Science Teaching Post- Graduation Program in the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and was based on the creation of a science club in the city of Dom Pedrito, in the southern country region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The club aimed to take the students to visit educational venues that escaped the walls of the school, in other words, non formal venues in education allied to the science teaching in search of the scientific literacy of the students. The club was installed in the State Elementary School Heloísa Louzada with students from 6th and 7th grades that participated in the activities in the inverse shift of their classes. The students were taken to four different venues of the city that could strengthen the educational field of the city in order to search for new experiences in the science teaching. The analysis of the collected data was based in the content analysis of Laurence Bardin from a questionnaire that was done with the students and also from the field diary that was being written along the meetings. The results obtained from the research were satisfactory and reached all the aims that were proposed in the beginning of the research elaboration, demonstrating the enormous importance of the link between science teaching, scientific literacy, and education in non formal venues in a science club.
