“Programa defesa civil na escola” nos municípios de Imbituba e Lauro Müller,SC : avaliação com alunos e professores

Abstract

Este estudo tem como objetivo investigar a sensibilização de alunos e de professores de escolas dos Municípios de Imbituba e Lauro Müller sobre proteção e defesa civil. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida após participarem do Programa Defesa Civil na Escola como ação do Governo do Estado de Santa Catarina, com foco na redução de riscos de desastres. Procedeu-se a análise das Políticas Nacionais de Educação Ambiental e de Proteção e Defesa Civil e suas relações com o Programa. Buscou-se compreender a importância atribuída ao assunto pelo público estudado, utilizando-se de dois instrumentos de coleta de dados: questionário com alunos e entrevista com professores. Os resultados indicam a necessidade de ações contínuas, pois o Programa promove o incentivo a mudanças de comportamento. A compreensão sobre as relações entre desastres de origem natural e proteção ao meio ambiente ainda são um desafio. Estudos devem buscar compreender os liames entre as comunidades e o contexto socioambiental em que vivem, o que possibilitará o planejamento de ações mais específicas à realidade de cada grupo.

This study aims to investigate the awareness of pupils and teachers of schools in the municipalities of Imbituba and Lauro Müller about civil protection and defense. The research was developed after participating in the Civil Defense Program at the School as an action of the State Government of Santa Catarina, focusing on disaster risk reduction. The National Policies of Environmental Education and Protection and Civil Defense and their relations with the Program were analyzed. We sought to understand the importance attributed to the subject by the public studied, using two instruments of data collection: questionnaire with pupils and interview with teachers. The results indicate the need for continuous actions, as the Program promotes the incentive to behavior changes. Understanding the relationship between natural disasters and environmental protection is still a challenge. Studies should seek to understand the relationships between the communities and the socio-environmental context in which they live, which will enable the planning of actions more specific to the reality of each group.
