O espaço da mulher no currículo de Ciências Sociais : uma análise sobre o currículo real da Licenciatura em Ciências Sociais EAD UFRGS

Abstract

Os estudos sobre gênero ganharam espaço no campo acadêmico, sobretudo, a partir dos anos 1970, estimulados pelos movimentos feministas daquela década. A compreensão das desigualdades socialmente construídas acabou por adentrar a Universidade e implicou no reconhecimento de que a ciência e, notadamente, os currículos ainda eram um lugar adverso à presença de mulheres. A partir desta premissa, objetiva-se investigar o espaço dedicado à contribuição de autoras de Ciências Sociais no currículo real do curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Sociais da UFRGS, modalidade ensino a distância, destacando a proporcionalidade garantida nas diversas áreas de conhecimento que conformam o campo, bem como os instrumentos (publicações, artigos, audiovisuais etc.) pelos quais a construção do espaço feminino foi mais efetiva. A investigação recorreu, na tipologia qualitativa, à técnica da pesquisa documental para análise de todo o acervo de materiais disponibilizados ao longo da trajetória de formação, sendo operacionalizados os registros e as relações com o suporte de sistema eletrônico de banco de dados relacional. Os resultados obtidos sugerem que, historicamente, há um desequilíbrio entre os gêneros na ocupação dos espaços no campo, com melhor acesso às mulheres no componente de Antropologia, bem como os artigos acadêmicos despontam como instrumento mais acessível ou de preferência das autoras para a produção acadêmica. Também há sugestão de que o enfoque demasiado em autores/as clássicos/as pode dar causa à percepção de ausência do gênero feminino que, embora presentes, ainda são (as autoras) pouco mobilizadas.

Gender studies have gained space in the academic field, especially since the 1970s, stimulated by the feminist movements of that decade. The understanding of socially constructed inequalities ended up entering the University and implied the recognition that science and, notably, curriculum were still an adverse place for the presence of women. From this premise, the objective is to investigate the space dedicated to the contribution of authors of the Social Sciences in the real curriculum of the Degree in Social Sciences at UFRGS, distance learning modality, highlighting the guaranteed proportionality in the different areas of knowledge that make up the field, as well as the instruments (publications, articles, audiovisuals, etc.) through which the construction of the feminine space was more effective. The investigation resorted, in the qualitative typology, to the documentary research technique to analyze the entire collection of materials made available throughout the training trajectory, with the records and relationships being operationalized with the support of an electronic system of relational database. The results obtained suggest that, historically, there is a gender imbalance in the occupation of spaces in the field, with better access to the Anthropology component, as well as articles emerging as the most accessible instrument or preferred by the authors for academic production. There is also a suggestion that too much focus on classical authors can give rise to the perception of the absence of the female gender who, although present, the authors are still little mobilized.
