Serviço referencial e de informação em bibliotecas comunitárias

Abstract

Este trabalho traça os perfis das bibliotecas públicas e comunitárias. Apresenta um breve histórico de cada uma, bem como as características e histórico do Serviço Referencial e de Informação (SRI). Verifica a importância da Biblioteca comunitária oferecer tal serviço, através de uma pesquisa aplicada a uma amostra de 4 (quatro) bibliotecas comunitárias da cidade de Porto Alegre: a Biblioteca Comunitária do Cristal, a Biblioteca do Centro Comunitário e Cultural do Belém Novo, a Biblioteca Ramal-1 Restinga e a Biblioteca Leopoldo Bernardo Boek. Descreve as entrevistas realizadas com os responsáveis pelas bibliotecas comunitárias selecionadas. Apresenta, através de gráficos e da análise destes, os dados obtidos mediante contatos feitos com usuários reais e potenciais das bibliotecas selecionadas. Mostra as conclusões obtidas com o desenvolvimento do trabalho. Traz sugestões para as bibliotecas Comunitárias desenvolverem o SRI.

This work outlines the profiles of the public and communitary libraries. It shows a short historic of each one, as the characteristics and historic of the Referential and of the Information Service (RIS). It verifies the importance of the communitary library offers such service through of a research applied to a model of four communitary libraries from Porto Alegre city: Communitary Library from Cristal, the Central Communitary and Cultural Library from Belém Novo, the Restinga Ramal-1 Library and the Leopoldo Bernardo Boeck Library. It descrives the interviews accomplished with the responsible people for the communitary selected. It shows through the graphs and exame of these, the informations obtained before the contacts done with the real users and potentials of the selected libraries. It shows the conclusions obtained with the development of the work. It brings suggestions for the Communitary Libraries develop the RIS.
