Estudo preliminar para o turismo de base comunitária na Barra do Rio Tramandaí, RS

Abstract

O estudo tem como temas principais o Turismo de Base Comunitária e a pesca cooperativa na barra do Rio Tramandaí, no litoral norte do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. O objetivo geral consiste em elaborar um diagnóstico preliminar sobre a possível implantação do Turismo de Base Comunitária na área de estudo, com foco na pesca cooperativa da tainha, que envolve a interação entre botos e pescadores de tarrafa. Os objetivos específicos são: analisar, por meio de entrevistas, a percepção de visitantes, donos de restaurantes, profissionais do ramo turístico e pescadores, sobre os temas do trabalho; observar e identificar fragilidades e potencialidades da barra do Rio Tramandaí; e sugerir ações para a implantação do Turismo de Base Comunitária na área de estudo. A pesquisa exploratória qualitativa envolveu levantamento bibliográfico sobre os assuntos, com a subsequente elaboração de formulários para a coleta de dados. Também foi realizado trabalho de campo, com a observação de características da barra do Rio Tramandaí. Assim, apesar da carência de infraestrutura no local, identifica-se grande potencial para a prática do Turismo de Base Comunitária fundamentado na pesca cooperativa, constituindo alternativa importante para a conservação ambiental e cultural, com o fortalecimento da comunidade tradicional dos pescadores de tarrafa.

The main themes of the study are Community Based Tourism and cooperative fishing on the mouth of the Tramandaí River, on the north coast of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. The general objective is to elaborate a preliminary diagnosis on the possible implementation of Community Based Tourism in the study area, with a focus on cooperative mullet fishing, which involves interaction between river dolphins and net fishermen. The specific objectives are to analyze, through interviews, the perception of visitors, restaurant owners, tourism professionals and fishermen, on the themes of the work; observe and identify weaknesses and strengths of the mouth of the Tramandaí River; and suggest actions for the implementation of Community Based Tourism in the study area. The qualitative exploratory research involved a bibliographic survey on the subjects, with the subsequent elaboration of forms for data collection. Field work was also carried out, with the observation of characteristics of the mouth of the Tramandaí River. Thus, despite the lack of local infrastructure, great potential is identified for the practice of Community Based Tourism based on cooperative fishing, constituting an important alternative for environmental and cultural conservation, with the strengthening of the traditional community of net fishermen.
