O ateliê de conservação e restauro de obras de arte do Amazonas : o resgate do acervo da Pinacoteca

Abstract

A presente dissertação investiga o Ateliê de Conservação e Restauro de Obras de Arte do Amazonas e suas ações preservacionistas no acervo artístico do Estado no período de 1997 a 2016. A hipótese central desta pesquisa é que a implementação do Ateliê de Conservação e Restauro de Obras de Arte, em 1997, e suas intervenções preservacionistas, foram responsáveis pela atual valorização e preservação do acervo artístico da Pinacoteca do Estado. Como complemento a essa hipótese, a pesquisa defende que a formação e profissionalização da primeira equipe de conservadoras-restauradoras, foi responsável direta pela constituição e estruturação do acervo artístico da Pinacoteca do Estado. A dissertação também confirma a hipótese secundária, surgida ao longo da investigação, de que a coleção de obras de arte do acervo representa um legado cultural para o Estado, ao preservar memórias, simbologias, artistas e histórias que configuram fontes relevantes para a compreensão da história da arte no Amazonas. Confirma, ainda, a premissa de que a existência do acervo artístico da Pinacoteca se deve à estruturação inicial e, principalmente, às primeiras intervenções preservacionistas realizadas pelo Ateliê de Conservação e Restauro de Obras de Arte.

This dissertation is the result of a research on the actions developed in the Atelier Restoring works of art from Amazon, and its preservationist actions in the state’s artistic collection from 1997 to 2016. The central hypothesis of this research is that the implementation of the in the Atelier Restoring works of art from de Amazon, in 1997, and its preservationist interventions, were responsible for rescuing and preserving the artistic collection from Amazon. As a complement to this hypothesis, the research argues that the formation and professionalization of the first team of conservators-restorers was directly responsible for the constitution and structuring of the artistic collection from Amazon. The dissertation also confirms the secondary hypothesis, which emerged during the investigation, that the collection of art represents a cultural legacy for the State, by preserving memories, symbologies, artists and stories that constitute relevant sources for the understanding of history and art in the Amazon. It also confirms the premise that the existence of the artistic collection from Amazon is due to the initial structuring and, mainly, to the first preservationist interventions carried out by the in the Atelier Restoring works of art from Amazon.
