A educação matemática na educação infantil : um estudo sobre a contação de histórias para o ensino da matemática

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como tema a Educação Matemática na Educação Infantil e consiste em demonstrar como a contação de histórias pode ser potente para o ensino da matemática na Educação Infantil. Desse modo, o trabalho foi desenvolvido a partir de inquietações sobre como a matemática está no dia-a-dia das pessoas, mas elas não notam e muitas tem receio dela. Assim, busca-se evidenciar que é possível trabalhar conceitos matemáticos através da ludicidade e desmistificar o medo da matemática. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa bibliográfica com cunho qualitativo. Para realizá-lo foi feito uma pesquisa no repositório digital LUME/UFRGS, onde foi efetuada uma revisão de literatura sobre trabalhos de conclusão de curso que tratavam da temática da contação de histórias na Educação Infantil, com foco para a Educação Matemática. Foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica de autores que abordam a temática da contação de histórias na Educação Infantil e, em seguida, foram pesquisadas e catalogadas histórias da literatura infantil que contemplavam a Educação Matemática. Os livros escolhidos foram: ‘Uma lagarta muito comilona’ (2010), ‘Quem vai ficar com o pêssego?’ (2010), ‘A Casa Sonolenta’ (2011), ‘Cachinhos de Ouro’ (2013) e ‘Monstromática’ (2015). Ao realizar a análise, foi possível perceber o quanto é importante fazer a conexão da literatura infantil com os conceitos matemáticos, ao passo que o elo entre eles, torna-se um considerável e significante modo para fortalecer os conhecimentos prévios das crianças, assim como ajudam na construção de novos saberes.

The present work has as its theme Mathematics Education in Early Childhood Education and consists of demonstrating how storytelling can be powerful for teaching mathematics in Early Childhood Education. In this way, the work was developed from concerns about how mathematics is in people's daily lives, but they do not notice it and many are afraid of it. Thus, we seek to show that it is possible to work with mathematical concepts through playfulness and demystify the fear of mathematics. The methodology used was bibliographical research with a qualitative nature. To carry it out, a search was carried out in the LUME/UFRGS digital repository, where a literature review was carried out on course completion works that dealt with the theme of storytelling in Early Childhood Education, with a focus on Mathematics Education. A literature review of authors who address the theme of storytelling in Early Childhood Education was carried out, and then stories of children's literature that contemplated Mathematics Education were researched and cataloged. The chosen books were: 'A Very Hungry Caterpillar' (2010), 'Who Will Keep the Peach?' (2010), 'The Sleepy House' (2011), 'Goldilocks' (2013) and 'Monstermatic' (2015). When carrying out the analysis, it was possible to perceive how important it is to make the connection between children's literature and mathematical concepts, while the link between them becomes a considerable and significant way to strengthen children's prior knowledge, as well as help in the construction of new knowledge.
