Pecuária de corte em Sede Nova/RS : diagnóstico socioambiental e econômico

Abstract

A pecuária brasileira representa grande importância econômica, e representou cerca de 6% do PIB Brasileiro em 2020. Dentre as formas de produção pecuária e níveis de tecnologia empregadas, nos últimos anos vêm se intensificando o sistema de criação de gado de corte confinado, em que se faz e o emprego de técnicas mais avançadas com o objetivo de aumentar a produtividade, com maior controle do rebanho e da alimentação. Nos sistemas de confinamento tem-se como principais custos as infraestruturas necessárias para o manejo, custos com aquisição de animais para a engorda e alimentação dos mesmos. Nesse contexto, justifica-se a realização do presente trabalho pela importância deste setor do agro para a economia, sendo esta uma atividade de grande importância para viabilizar pequenas propriedades rurais, devido às oportunidades relacionadas ao segmento e necessidade de reduzida disponibilidade de área para a atividade. O presente estudo objetivou analisar o sistema de produção da bovinocultura de corte e seu potencial para o desenvolvimento rural tendo como estudo de caso uma Unidade de Produção Agrícola (UPA) no município de Sede Nova/RS, com criação de bovinos de corte em sistema de confinamento e semiconfinamento. Na região Noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul, onde localiza-se a área em estudo, existem 97 frigoríficos com inspeção municipal e 26 frigoríficos em sistema de inspeção estadual, sendo que esta realidade reflete a realizada identificada na área de estudo, em que há demanda e possibilidade de comercialização intra e intermunicipal. No desenvolvimento deste trabalho, realizou-se a análise sistêmica da UPA, e foram identificados os fatores descritivos (terra, trabalho e capital), os indicadores econômicos da UPA, os dados ambientais e de estudo da paisagem, e estes demostraram resultados promissores na análise da propriedade, sendo identificado potencial de crescimento e ampliação, o que possibilitou o diagnóstico do desenvolvimento rural e a sugestão de melhorias ao grupo familiar.

Brazilian livestock farming represents great economic importance, and represented about 6% of Brazilian GDP in 2020. Among the forms of livestock production and levels of technology employed, in recent years the system of rearing confined beef cattle, in which it is made, and the use of more advanced techniques with the objective of increasing productivity, with greater control of herd and food, have been intensified. In the containment systems, the main costs are the infrastructures necessary for the management, costs of acquiring animals for fattening and feeding them. In this context, this work is justified due to the importance of this agro sector for the economy, which is an activity of great importance to enable small rural properties, due to the opportunities related to the segment and the need for reduced availability of area for the activity. The present study aimed to analyze the production system of beef cattle and its potential for rural development using as a case study an Agricultural Production Unit (UPA) in the municipality of Headquarters Nova/RS, with the rearing of beef cattle in a confinement and semi-confinement system. In the Northwest region of Rio Grande do Sul, where the area under study is located, there are 97 refrigerators with municipal inspection and 26 refrigerators in a state inspection system, and this reality reflects the one identified in the study area, in which there is demand and possibility of intra- and intermunicipal marketing. In the development of this work, the systemic analysis of the UPA was performed, and descriptive factors (land, labor and capital), the economic indicators of the UPA, the environmental and landscape study data were identified, and these showed promising results in the property analysis, being identified growth and expansion potential, which allowed the diagnosis of rural development and the suggestion of improvements to the family group.
