O presente trabalho pretende estudar os efeitos causados pela integração econômica europeia nas economias de Espanha e Portugal. Para este fim, foi feita a análise de algumas variáveis macroeconômicas básicas. O presente trabalho pretende estudar os efeitos causados pela integração econômica europeia nas economias de Espanha e Portugal. Para este fim, foi feita a análise de algumas variáveis macroeconômicas básicas. Os resultados apresentam a melhora nos níveis das duas economias analisadas, tanto do ponto de vista da estabilidade quanto do crescimento econômico, puxada principalmente pelo aumento do investimento direto estrangeiro após o ingresso na Comunidade Europeia.
