Influência da fase etária no uso do léxico em Pomerano

Abstract

O presente artigo situa-se na área da Sociolinguística Variacionista e aborda a variação linguística quanto aos nomes (nível lexical) em pomerano, uma língua de imigração germânica falada nos estados do RS, ES, MG, SC e RO. O foco desta análise recaisobre a relação do uso dos nomes em pomerano com o contato com a língua portuguesa e com o fator extralinguístico fase etária na fala de moradores do município interiora no de Arroio do Padre (RS). Trata-se de um recorte da tese de doutorado em andamento, a qual se caracteriza como estudo qualitativo de base quantitativa em tempo aparente. Como desenho metodológico, o trabalho articula concepções advindas da Sociolinguística Variacionista e da análise de Redes Sociais. Os primeiros resultados apontam maior percentual de itens lexicais semelhantes fonologicamente ao alemão standard entre a fase etária mais velha, ao passo que a fala dos mais jovens apresenta maior númerode eventos com code-switching.

The present article is situated in the area of Variationist Sociolinguistics and addresses linguistic variation regarding names (lexical level) in Pomeranian, a language of Germanic immigration spoken in the states of RS, ES, MG, SC and RO. Thefocus of this analysis is on the relationship of the use of Pomeranian names with contact with the Portuguese language and with the extralinguistic factor age phase in the speech of residents of the inland municipality of Arroio do Padre, RS. This is a section of the doctoral thesis in progress, which is characterized as a qualitative study with a quantitative basis in apparent time. As a methodological design, the study articulates concepts derived from Variationist Sociolinguistics and Social Network analysis. The first results indicate a higher percentage of exical items phonologically similar to standard German among the older age group, while the speech of the younger age group presents a higher number of events with code-switching.
