Method: An integrative review was carried out on the bases of the Virtual Health Library and the National Library of Medicine; the descriptors were: occupational neck pain, management, prevention, treatment, using the Boolean operators “AND” and “OR”. Interventions were observed in ten publications with office workers (76.9%), two with professors (15.3%) and one with nurses (7.6%). The most common interventions were: physical training, in six publications (46.15%); ergonomic modification, in two (15%); combination of physical training and ergonomic modification, in three (23%); combination of ergonomic modification and health promotion, in three (23%) and combination of postural change, walking and breaks, in five (38.4%) publications. Conclusions: Ergonomic intervention in the office environment reduces the intensity of neck pain, however, it is more effective combined with physical training and health promotion. As a limitation, there was a small sample and no studies were found in Africa. Evidencing the need for more studies. | en |
