Vínculo, acolhimento e comunicação : um olhar sobre o cuidado do câncer bucal de pacientes do sus em Porto Alegre/RS

Abstract

O diagnóstico do câncer bucal gera muitas alterações na vida do paciente em suas diversas dimensões. É essencial o acolhimento nos cuidados dos pacientes com câncer bucal, em todas as etapas e frente às suas necessidades, do diagnóstico ao pós tratamento. Para as práticas de saúde que desenvolvem-se com vínculo e acolhimento, as competências profissionais do cirurgião dentista são essenciais para o processo de revelação diagnóstica e construção do itinerário terapêutico, das pessoas com câncer bucal. O objetivo deste estudo foi conhecer e analisar as competências humanísticas do cirurgião-dentista pelo olhar das pessoas com câncer bucal ao longo dos seus itinerários terapêuticos na rede de saúde do Sistema Único de Saúde em Porto Alegre/RS. A pesquisa é um estudo de caso com usuários de uma instituição do SUS no município de Porto Alegre. Este estudo faz parte da pesquisa intitulada “O itinerário do cuidado do câncer bucal na rede de saúde bucal do Sistema Único de Saúde no município de Porto Alegre/RS”. Os participantes são pacientes em tratamento de câncer bucal, em andamento ou finalizado. Os dados foram produzidos a partir de 3 entrevistas aprofundadas, gravadas e transcritas de usuários que estavam em acompanhamento clínico no setor de Estomatologia do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA), no período de setembro a novembro de 2021. Os dados foram analisados a partir da análise textual do discurso das entrevistas transcritas e através do diário de campo. Foi possível compreender as competências humanísticas necessárias do cirurgião dentista na visão do paciente ao longo do itinerário terapêutico e no enfrentamento da doença onde se destacam o acolhimento vinculado à escuta, vínculo e comunicação como competências essenciais nesse contexto.

The diagnosis of oral cancer causes many changes in the patient's life in its various dimensions. Receptiveness in the care of patients with oral cancer is essential, at all stages and in view of their needs, from diagnosis to post-treatment. For health practices that develop with bonding and acceptance, the professional skills of the dentist are essential for the process of revealing the diagnosis and building the therapeutic itinerary of people with oral cancer. The aim of this study was to understand and analyze the humanistic competences of dentists through the eyes of people with oral cancer throughout their therapeutic itineraries in the health network of the Unified Health System in Porto Alegre/RS. The research is a case study with users of a SUS institution in the city of Porto Alegre. This study is part of the research entitled “The itinerary of oral cancer care in the oral health network of the Unified Health System in the city of Porto Alegre/RS”. Participants are patients undergoing oral cancer treatment, either ongoing or completed. Data were produced from 3 indepth interviews, recorded and transcribed from users who were undergoing clinical follow-up at the Stomatology sector of the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA), from September to November 2021. The data were analyzed a from the textual analysis of the speech of the transcribed interviews and through the field diary. It was possible to understand the necessary humanistic competences of the dental surgeon in the patient's view throughout the therapeutic itinerary and in coping with the disease, where embracement linked to listening, bonding and communication stand out as essential competences in this context.
