O ciprofloxacino é um antimicrobiano da classe das fluoroquinolonas de segunda geração, com um amplo espectro de atividade contra bactérias Gram-positivas e Gram-negativas, disponível no mercado brasileiro sob várias formas farmacêuticas. O controle de qualidade de medicamentos é essencial para assegurar que o produto esteja dentro dos padrões de qualidade exigidos, através da execução de métodos analíticos eficazes e validados. No entanto, nos dias atuais, o ciprofloxacino em pomada oftálmica ainda não possui monografia na Farmacopeia Brasileira. Sendo assim, este trabalho teve como objetivo desenvolver e validar um método analítico para a quantificação do ciprofloxacino em pomada oftálmica por cromatografia líquida de alta eficiência. Os resultados da linearidade foram tratados estatisticamente por análise de variância (ANOVA) e foram lineares (r = 1,0) no intervalo selecionado de 10-50 μg/mL, preciso com desvio padrão relativo da repetibilidade intradia (0,70), precisão intermediária (1,38) e exata com a recuperação média (97,41%). Por meio deste estudo, foi possível elaborar um método adequado, simples e confiável que pode ser utilizado para a análise de medicamentos no controle de qualidade de rotina desse fármaco. ...
