O ciclo Brayton de CO2 supercrítico (S-CO2) é reconhecido como uma das tecnologias mais promissoras para uma próxima geração de sistemas de potência. Este estudo tem como foco analisar o desempenho de quatro configurações do ciclo Brayton de S-CO2 (ciclo de recuperação simples, ciclo de reaquecimento, ciclo de recompressão e ciclo de resfriamento intermediário). Após a coleta dos dados, foram realizadas a simulação e otimização dos sistemas utilizando o software iiSE. O processo de otimização foi realizado de forma a maximizar a eficiência. Para um ciclo de potência nominal igual a 10 MW, a configuração mais eficiente é a de Resfriamento Intermediário com eficiência igual a 46,4 %, seguida do Ciclo de Recompressão, com 43,8 %, após o ciclo de Reaquecimento, com 38,6 % e, por fim, o Ciclo de Recuperação Simples, com 36,8 %. Os resultados obtidos estão em excelente concordância com a literatura, e mostram-se satisfatórios quando comparados com a eficiência típica de ciclos de potência a vapor, que raramente ultrapassa 40 %. A partir da análise dos valores encontrados observouse que o reaquecimento e o resfriamento só aumentam a eficiência térmica se forem acompanhados por recuperação, e que o aumento do número de estágios de compressão e expansão ocasionam um aumento da eficiência, porém envolvem um maior investimento financeiro, o qual deve ser avaliado. ...
