A tessitura da violência : motivação e manifestações no ambiente escolar

Abstract

A violência no âmbito escolar envolvendo adolescentes nas suas mais variadas expressões, configura um grave problema de saúde pública, caracterizando um cenário de grande complexidade. Essa tese aborda a tessitura da violência, motivação e manifestações no ambiente escolar. O objetivo foi estudar as manifestações da violência no ambiente escolar a partir da literatura científica, de informações epidemiológicas brasileiras e das narrativas de professores do ensino médio de escolas públicas. Foram produzidos cinco trabalhos científicos, um artigo de revisão bibliográfica sistematizada, três artigos com dados secundários originados do banco do SINAN/DATASUS/MS, com abordagem quantitativa, e o quinto artigo com dados primários aplicando a técnica de grupo focal a partir das narrativas de professores do ensino médio. Verificou-se que a literatura investigada contribuiu para a compreensão dos aspectos envolvidos nas relações entre os estudantes e deles com a instituição escolar. A violência vivenciada pelos adolescentes, estudantes assumiu diferentes faces. Nas regiões e no Brasil os eventos violentos apresentaram tendência crescente. Houve um predomínio do sexo masculino como agressor e do feminino como vítima. Dentre as várias formas de violência, o bullying foi a mais presente no espaço escolar, manifestado por atos de violência verbal e física, esse tipo também foi identificado sob a ótica de professores. Ressalta-se a necessidade do fortalecimento das ações de vigilância das violências, a fim de dar maior visibilidade a esse “agravo”, ainda bastante subnotificado, com o intuito de revelar sua real magnitude. Os resultados desses estudos poderão contribuir para o planejamento e o desenvolvimento de ações intersetoriais visando à prevenção da violência e atenção aos adolescentes.

Violence in the school environment involving adolescents in its most varied expressions constitutes a serious public health problem, characterizing a scenario of great complexity. This thesis addresses the texture of violence, motivation, and manifestations in the school environment. The objective was to study the manifestations of violence in the school environment based on scientific literature, Brazilian epidemiological information, and the narratives of high school teachers in public schools. Five scientific papers were produced, one systematic bibliographic review article, three articles with secondary data originating from the SINAN/DATASUS/MS database, with a quantitative approach, and the fifth article with primary data applying the focus group technique from the narratives of high school teachers. It was found that the investigated literature contributed to the understanding of the aspects involved in the relationships between students and between them and the school institution. The violence experienced by teenagers; students took on different faces. In the regions and in Brazil, violent events showed an increasing trend. There was a predominance of males as aggressors and females as victims. Among the various forms of violence, bullying was the most present in the school space, manifested by acts of verbal and physical violence, this type was also identified from the perspective of teachers. It emphasizes the need to strengthen the surveillance of violence, to give greater visibility to this “injury”, which is still largely underreported, to reveal its real magnitude. The results of these studies may contribute to the planning and development of intersectoral actions aimed at preventing violence and caring for adolescents.
