Portal fungi : plataforma colaborativa para o ensino de micologia

Abstract

O uso das Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação (TIC) cria novas possibilidades de ensino em sala de aula. A informatização da troca de informações e o aumento no acesso à conexão de internet trouxe as TIC para a escola, tanto por ação dos alunos quanto por ação do educador. Os Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem são considerados importantes recursos de ensino, oferecendo uma ferramenta complementar ao livro didático. O objetivo geral deste trabalho foi a avaliação da aprendizagem sobre o Reino Fungi em turmas do ensino fundamental, mediada por um Ambiente de Virtual de Aprendizagem. A plataforma virtual Portal Fungi foi desenvolvida através do Sistema Gerenciador de Conteúdo conhecido como Wordpress, disponível em código aberto. O material didático disponível na plataforma foi desenvolvido a partir de bibliografia especializada. A plataforma foi testada com a participação de 20 alunos dos sétimos anos do ensino fundamental de uma escola, da rede pública de ensino, do município de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. A usabilidade, a segurança e as atividades didáticas foram analisados através de questionários e da observação direta do pesquisador. Foi constatada a facilidade de acesso, independentemente do dispositivo utilizado. Os objetivos de aprendizagem foram atingidos a partir da comparação do desempenho do participantes, no primeiro e no segundo questionário. Através da análise dos dados foi possível avaliar o impacto no aprendizado dos participantes e verificar que o Portal Fungi funcionou como uma ferramenta para a construção do conhecimento.

The use of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT or IT) creates new teaching possibilities in the classroom. The informatization of the information exchange and the recent raise in the internet connection access brought the IT for the schools, being from an act from students or an act from educators. The Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) are important teaching resources, offering an additional tool for the didactic books. The goal for this study is to evaluate the learning gains from elementary school students after a training period on the Portal Fungi website through the use of a Virtual Learning Environment. The Portal Fungi platform was developed using the Content Manager System known as WordPress, available open source. The didactic content of the platform was developed based on specialized bibliography, and it was tested with the participation of 20 students from the seventh grade from the a municipal public elementary School from the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The usability, the safety and the didactic activities were analyzed through questionnaires and from the direct observation of the user by the developer and researcher. The facility of access and use was achieved, whichever the gadget used to enter the website. The development goals were achieved through the comparison of the user performance before and after the training using the previous and post questionnaires. By the results from the use of the Portal Fungi Virtual Learning Environment, it was possible to verify that the VLEs can work as a tool for the learning facilitation. Specifically, we verified that the Portal Fungi websites achieves its goal to serve as a Virtual Learning Environment.
