| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | A door operator rollers is responsible for ensuring the simultaneous opening of the floor door and the elevator cabin. This work analyzes the root cause of their premature breakage. During the year 2021, the exchange of this material grew exponentially compared to previous years. In a job site in the northern region of the country, where all the rollers were replaced due to their failure, the complete breakage of the rubber outer part was verified, separating it from the nylon inner part. Through the analysis of possible causes, with the help of the Ishikawa diagram, it was observed that between previous years and currently, no modification in the handling or installation of the product had been carried out. Thus, it is understood that the cause is the component itself. From a comparison between a 2019 roller and a new one, the presence of cavities on the outside of it was observed, specifically where the mechanical connection is made between the two polymeric parts. It was concluded that the presence of cavities occurred due to a problem in the material injection process, which led to the necessary changes in the manufacturing process to mitigate the problem found in several elevators throughout Brazil. | en |
