Inundações e alagamento e suas características geomorfológicas no município de Cachoeirinha – RS

Abstract

O estudo traz a caracterização geomorfológica do município de Cachoeirinha – RS, em conjunto com a identificação e análise de pontos de inundações e alagamento, relacionando estes eventos aos aspectos físicos das localidades. O aumento urbano evidenciado nas últimas décadas traz novas dinâmicas para o ambiente, as quais devem ser entendidas. O objetivo principal da pesquisa consiste no Mapa Geomorfológico, identificação das inundações e alagamento, fazendo uma análise dos fenômenos relacionado às características geomorfológicas da área, buscando uma contribuição para a gestão e planejamento urbano do município. A metodologia foi baseada no levantamento bibliográfico e de dados, elaboração da cartografia necessária e identificação dos fenômenos tratados. Além disso, foi realizado um trabalho de campo para averiguação das informações e posterior análise e interpretação dos dados. A geomorfologia do município se diferencia em padrões de formas: em Planície Fluvio - Lagunares com banhado; Planícies Fluviais e em Colinas. Os pontos de inundações ocorrem na parte sul do município, próximo ao baixo curso do Arr oio Passinhos, no extremo norte do município, em habitações alocadas à s margens do Arroio Sapucaia. O ponto de alagamento tem localização em uma das áreas de maior dinâmica urbana do município, a Avenida General Flores da Cunha. Com base nas evidências a solução para os eventos de inundações não está ligada a canalização dos cursos d’água ou obras neste sentido e sim a preservação das áreas e alocação das populações em áreas habitáveis de baixo risco, respeitando as suas vontades. No que diz respeito ao ponto de alagamento , recentemente foram realizadas obras com o objetivo de controlar o processo, essas obras devem ser acompanhadas e fiscalizadas afim de se compreender em que medidas elas foram efetivas. As análises feitas no presente estudo, podem servir para outras áreas do município, podendo ajudar no planejamento público, e, como consequência, propiciar aos moradores locais uma melhor qualidade de vida.

The study brings the geomorphological characterization of the municipality of Cachoeirinha - RS, together with the identification and analysis of flood and inundation points, relating these events to the physical aspects of the localities. The urban increas e evidenced in the last decades brings new dynamics to the environment, which must be understood. The main objective of the research consists in the Geomorphological Map, identification of floods and inundation, making an analysis of the phenomena related to the physical characteristics of the area, seeking a contribution to the management and urban planning of the city. The methodology was based on bibliographic and data survey, elaboration of the necessary cartography and identification of the treated phenomena. Besides this, a field work was carried out to verify the information and later analysis and interpretation of the data. The geomorphology of the municipality is differentiated in shape patterns: in Fluvio - Lagunar Plains with swamp; Fluvial Plains a nd Hills. The points of flooding occur in the southern part of the municipality, near the lower course of the Passinhos stream, in the extreme north of the municipality, in houses located on the banks of the Sapucaia stream. The flooding point is located i n one of the most dynamic urban areas of the city, Avenida General Flores da Cunha. Based on the evidence, the solution to the events of flooding is not linked to the channeling of waterways or works in this direction, but the preservation of the areas and allocation of populations in low - risk habitable areas, respecting their wills. In relation to the flooding point, works have recently been carried out with the objective of controlling the phenomenon; these works must be followed up and inspected in order to understand how effective they have been. The analyses made in this study can be used in other areas of the municipality, helping in public planning and, as a consequence, providing local residents with a better quality of life
