Como os recursos hídricos, e também os econômicos e financeiros, são limitados, os esforços no sentido de um planejamento hídrico racional apresentam um interesse real para a sociedade. Neste trabalho são analisados vários modelos para o planejamento do uso dos recursos hídricos de bacias hidrográficas cujos rios não são regularizados por reservatórios.
