Viva la Swan Queen! : a atuação do fandom na formação do sujeito e fanfics como prática cultural

Abstract

Fandoms/fanbases são estruturas comunitárias organizadas e autogeridas por fãs, de discursos e manifestações distintas entre cada grupo, mas que compartilham entre si ideias e ferramentas para suas práticas. Manifestações artísticas e comunitárias desenvolvidas pela fanbase de Swan Queen através de deus suas fanfictions e fanworks geram impactos nas práticas informacionais e sociais colaborando às construções dos sujeitos. A presente pesquisa investiga de que maneira integrantes LGBTQIA+, com enfoque em pessoas sáficas e/ou não brancas da fanbase de Swan Queen utilizam das formas de escrita para a construção de sua identidade social. Com metodologia de caráter qualitativo, o estudo apresenta levantamento bibliográfico, prática netnográfica e aplicação de questionário em meio digital aplicado através das plataformas Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter e reddit, buscando compreender o perfil da comunidade e as formas em que se engajam com seus textos ficcionais e metanarrativas. Os sujeitos alvo foram pessoas sáficas e/ou pessoas não brancas da comunidade de Swan Queen. O desenvolvimento teórico da pesquisa observa a construção do indivíduo com base nas suas participações coletivas e seu engajamento com as práticas discursivas e dispositivos de opressão, assim como a retomada de espaço social e a luta contra o apagamento étnico. Aborda sobre fanfiction enquanto literatura arcôntica, das estruturas estrutura de fandoms e a legalidade de suas práticas. Versa sobre a negociação e negação entre raça, gênero e prática de fã através da reestruturação do discurso. A partir dos resultados pode-se afirmar o importante papel dos fanworks para a comunidade Swan Queen na formação de seus sujeitos, assim como a necessidade de um empenho coletivo para transformação das estruturas de fãs, científicas e tecnológicas no que se refere aos preconceitos e apagamentos raciais sofridos por fãs não branques.

Fandoms/fanbases are community structures organized and self-managed by fans, with different speeches and manifestations between each group, but which share ideas and tools for their practices. Artistic and community manifestations developed through fanfictions and fanworks by the Swan Queen fanbase generate impacts on informational and social practices collaborating with the constructions of subjects' identities. The present research investigates how LGBTQIA + members of the Swan Queen community, focusing on sapphic and/or non-white identities, use forms of writing to build their social identity. With a qualitative methodology, the study presents bibliographic survey, netnographic practice and application of a questionnaire in digital medium applied through Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and reddit platforms, seeking to understand the profile of the community and the ways in which they engage with their fictional texts and metanarratives. The target subjects were sapphic and/or non-white people from the Swan Queen community. The theoretical development chosen for the research observes the construction of the individual based on his participation with the collective and his engagement with the discursive practices and systems of oppression of this community, as well as the resumption of social space and the fight against ethnic erasure. Addresses fanfiction as archontic literature, fandom structures and the legality of their practices. Develops on the occurring negotiation between race, gender and fan practice through the restructuring of the discourse. Based on the results, it is possible to affirm the important role of fanworks for the Swan Queen community in the formation of their subjects, as well as the need for a collective effort to transform fan, scientific and technological structures with regard to prejudices and deletions. racial strains suffered by non-white fans.
