Misoginia modernista e a invisibilidade da mulher artista : resgate, legado e repercussões contemporâneas

Abstract

Essa tese tem como objetivo investigar as questões de presenças e ausências na história da arte, a fim de perturbar/questionar os quadros discursivos e as narrativas dominantes. Seu enfoque versa sobre o patriarcado cultural e invisibilidade da mulher artista, com interesse em registros historiográficos e revisionismo, em especial no período que compreende as vanguardas históricas e os modernismos díspares. No escopo da ampla questão da miso ginia no campo da arte, a pesquisa aqui apresentada refletirá sobre a herança residual das construções que a historiografia ocidental em arte - baseada em um sistema cultural opres sivo e falocêntrico -, fez da mulher e de sua estrutura corpórea como sujeito, a partir de lacu nas ou ausências, representações artísticas e outras práticas comuns ao meio. A perspectiva feminista é aqui utilizada como metodologia, na investigação da dimensão histórica frente a pressupostos que silenciam ou estigmatizam negativamente a figura feminina.

This doctoral dissertation aims to investigate the issues of presences and absences in the history of art in order to disturb / question the dominant discursive frameworks and nar ratives. Its focus is on the cultural patriarchy and invisibility of the female artist, with an interest in historiographical records and revisionism, especially in the period comprising historical vanguards and disparate modernisms. In the scope of the broad question of miso gyny in the field of art, the research presented here will reflect on the residual heritage of the constructions that western historiography in art - based on an oppressive and phallocentric cultural system - made woman and her body structure as subject-, from gaps or absences, artistic representations and other practices common to the environment. The feminist pers pective is used here as methodology, in the investigation of the historical dimension in the face of assumptions that silently silence or stigmatize the female figure.
