This final work has as its main theme the understanding of the prominence of sensory marketing, in the construction of a brand, and its impact on the consumption process, exploring the case of the Melissa brand. The main objective of this study is to understand the consumers’ perception about Melissa's smell and brand. To respond to this and the other specific objectives, initially, it was necessary to go deeper into the concepts involving sensory marketing, brand and consumption - each of them, with sub-chapters dedicated to topics important to the theme. In the first theoretical chapter, items on olfactory marketing, visual marketing and memory are developed. Among the triggered authors, are Krishna (2012), Lindstrom (2007), Ortegón-Cortázar and Gómez (2016) and Solomon (2008). The second chapter contains a subchapter on image and brand identity, based on Aaker (1998), Baldissera (2006; 2007; 2008), Gobé (2002), Rouen (2000; 2003), among others. In the third chapter, about consumption, a subchapter addresses the purchase process, in which authors such as Baudrillard (1991), Karsaklian (2008), Solomon (2008) and others are addressed. As for the methodological procedures, the study is qualitative, carried out through seven interviews, in depth, with consumers aged between 20 and 39 years, and as a technique for exploring the data obtained, content analysis was chosen. (BARDIN, 1977). The main result of the research was the understanding that Melissa's scent is an extremely strong characteristic, and one of the main connections made, when talking about the brand. In addition, it was also possible to identify the impact of memories, in relations with Melissa, and to recognize consumers' loyalty to the brand. ...
