Sujeitos à deriva : migração, refúgio e processos de subjetivação

Abstract

Esta pesquisa surgiu a partir de nosso envolvimento com o “Projeto Acolhida ao Migrante – Inserção Social e Diversidade Cultural”, desenvolvido pela Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina, no Campus Universitário de Tubarão. Durante as aulas de Língua Portuguesa ministradas a imigrantes e refugiados (ganeses, senegaleses, sírios, moçambicanos, haitianos etc.), residentes em Tubarão e região, para o auxílio na aprendizagem do idioma, vimos que os desafios não estavam apenas voltados à língua, mas a todo o processo que circunda essa troca de lugar, às mudanças sociais, culturais, identitárias pelas quais passam, às adversidades a que são expostos, a práticas de acolhimento e a movimentos de preconceito, xenofobia. Tais questões nos levaram a pensar como esse sujeito, em condição de refúgio e/ou migração forçada, refaz sua vida no lugar de destino, dadas as implicações físicas e simbólicas envolvidas nesse processo de mudança. Essa inquietação nos levou ao nosso problema de pesquisa: de que modo imigrantes e refugiados se (re)arranjam num lugar que não é considerado ‘seu’ de origem? Diante disso, estabelecemos como objetivo geral desta pesquisa investigar como se dá o processo de (re)arranjo identitário do sujeito nesse espaço outro de (re)constituição, a partir do discurso de e sobre ele nesse novo lugar. De modo que pudéssemos trabalhar com esses discursos, mobilizamos como corpus desta pesquisa: a) Entrevistas individuais com imigrantes e refugiados que participaram do Programa Acolhida ao Migrante, entre os anos de 2015 e 2020; b) Entrevistas individuais com nacionais (tubaronenses) que direta ou indiretamente tiveram contato com eles; c) Trechos do Estatuto do Refugiado (Lei nº 9.474/97) e da Nova Lei da Migração (Lei 13.445/17); d) Recortes das definições dos termos imigrante e refugiado apresentadas pelo Alto Comissariado das Nações Unidas para os Refugiados (Acnur) e presentes em matérias sobre o assunto veiculadas na mídia. Para este gesto de análise, nosso trabalho se desenvolve no âmbito da Análise de Discurso (AD) pecheutiana, contando também com pressupostos teóricos de outras áreas do conhecimento, como Antropolgia, Direito e Psicanálise. Este estudo nos conduziu a um funcionamento discursivo que ocorre num lugar entre, entre-línguas, entre-culturas, entre-lugares, entre-discursos, ao qual o sujeito, na posição de estrangeiro, encontra-se submetido ao Outro e à sua própria errância. O imigrante e refugiado se ressignificam, assim, no/pelo entremeio, pela condição mesma de estarem fora do lugar. A esse processo, denominamos transposição discursiva, que faz referência aos lugares que o sujeito passa a ocupar nessa travessia, no contato simultâneo com o Outro e seu corpo-memória.

This research arose from our involvement in “Embracing the Migrant Project – Social Insertion and Cultural Diversity”, developed by Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina, in Tubarão campus. During the Portuguese language classes given to immigrants and refugees (ghanians, senegalese, syrians, mozambicans, haitians etc.), residing in Tubarão and region, in order to help them learn the language, we saw that the challenges were not only focused on the language, but to the whole process that surrounds this change of place, the social, cultural and identity changes they undergo, the adversities they are exposed to, the welcoming practices and movements of prejudice, xenophobia. Such questions led us to think about how this subject, in a refugee and/or forced migration condition, retakes his life in the place of destination, given the physical and symbolic implications involved in this process of change. This concern led us to our research problem: how do immigrants and refugees (re)arrange themselves in a place that is not considered 'their' of origin? Therefore, we established as a general objective of this research to investigate how the process of identity (re)arrangement of the subject takes place in this other space of (re)constitution, as of the discourse from and about him in this new place. So that we could work with these discourses, we mobilized as a corpus of this research: a) Individual interviews with immigrants and refugees who participated of the Program Welcome to Migrants, between the years of 2015 and 2020; b) Individual interviews with nationals (tubaronenses) who directly or indirectly had contact with them; c) Excerpts from the Refugee Statute (Law 9.474) and from the New Migration Law (Law 13.445/17); d) Fragments of the definitions of the terms immigrant and refugee presented in the UN Refugee Agency and present in articles about the theme published in the media. For this gesture of analysis, our work is developed within the scope of Discourse Analysis (AD) of the French line, also relying on theoretical assumptions from other areas of knowledge, such as Anthropology, Law and Psychoanalysis. This study led us to a discursive functioning that occurs in a place between, between-languages, between-cultures, between-places, between-discourses, to which the subject, in the position of a foreigner, is submitted to the Other and to his own wandering. The immigrant and the refugee thus resignify themselves in/by this place between, because of their condition of being out of place. We called this process discursive transposition, which refers to the places that the subject starts to occupy in this crossing, in the simultaneous contact with the Other and with his memory-body.
