Performance macroeconômica sob o regime de metas de inflação : uma análise para alguns países emergentes selecionados

Abstract

O presente artigo tem dois objetivos. Primeiro, ele analisa o desempenho macroeconômico, especificamente PIB e taxa de inflação, de um conjunto de países emergentes que adotaram (ou não) o regime de metas de inflação. Segundo, ele procura evidenciar se há uma relação de causalidade entre o regime de metas de inflação e o desempenho macroeconômico.

This article has two goals. First, it analyses the main macroeconomic results, specifically GDP and inflation rate, for some selected emerging countries that adopt (or not) the inflation targeting regime. Secondly, it aims at examing the ralationship between the inflation targeting regime and the macroeconomic performance of emerging countries.
