More and more users make purchases on the internet through their computer and smartphone. Only in 2019, this sector made a profit of more than 60 billion Real in Brazil. Despite the convenience and practicality of purchasing online, there are some interesting data about e-commerce. According to a survey by comScore and UPS in the United States, about 63% of Americans checks the return policy before purchasing a product. And 48% would buy more from those who brought easiness and less headaches when making a possible product return, either due to dissatisfaction or product defect. This shows that the consumer is conscious when purchasing on the Internet. If we consider the ideal world that the product reaches the customer without a factory defect, imagining a possible product refund for not being what he expected is a very frustrating experience. The customer will have to request the return of the product, and depending of the situation overpay for this. And for the company, they will need to return the money obtained upon sale. Usually, companies need to build transparent return policies and in the best possible way to avoid any kind of embarrassment. And the customer, if they don't pay attention to these policies, may end up having a headache to make a return. The purpose of this work is to attack this point. Make the customer feel confident to decide that the product they are purchasing is in fact what they expect. Although the topic being treated in a generic way so far, in this paper we will focus on furniture’s. They are usually products that raise doubts due to the diversity of sizes, models and formats. This will be shown with an e-commerce application for Android where the main feature will be the augmented reality. Through the smartphone's camera, the user will be able to preview the product desired in the environment where he is located at.
