Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)

In addition to being associated with high technology by the automotive industry, the electric car has taken a high position in the fight for an environmentally sustainable world. They are expected to take a significant hold on the global automotive market, as according to the Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) report, they will rise from 2 million to 56 million units by 2040. Aiming at reducing carbon dioxide emissions and introducing hybrid systems, in 2013 SAE International - Society of Automotive Engineers founded the electric category, known as Formula FSAE Electric. In Brazil, the sport offered engineering students the possibility to apply their acquired knowledge in practice, building a formula-style car powered by electricity. Seeking to develop a low cost and energetically efficient system that meets the requirements imposed by the competition, the present project aims to design and test most low voltage electronics of the vehicle, in addition to developing the differential board firmware. Thus, a system composed of ECUs (Engine Control Unit), sensors, air conditioners signal and security systems. At the end, the difficulties encountered are presented and, based on them, future work is suggested. ...
