Este trabalho estuda comparativamente a corrosão de revestimentos à base de zinco sobre aços. Para tanto, é analisado o comportamento eletroquímico dos revestimentos sobre aço livre de intersticiais: zinco galvanizado a fogo (GI), galvanneal (GA) e galvalume (Zn55Al) em meio contendo cloreto por voltametria cíclica e pela Técnica de Varredura com Eletrodo Vibratório na seção transversal, com e sem a incidência simultânea de luz branca. Os revestimentos também foram caracterizados por Microscopia Eletrônica de Varredura e Microanálise por Espectrometria Dispersiva de Raios X. Observa-se que a influência da luz UV-VIS é mínima no processo corrosivo, mesmo contendo no revestimento fases intermetálicas com natureza semicondutora. Os ensaios evidenciam que, dentre os três revestimentos, o GA tem a menor velocidade de corrosão, quando em contato com o substrato de aço para grandes áreas expostas do aço. ...

Corrosion attack of Hot Dip Zn coatings on steels is comparatively studied.
