Literatura de cordel : cocanha e a realidade nordestina

Abstract

A Literatura Oral é de grande importância para a formação da identidade de qualquer comunidade. Este trabalho tem como objetivo mostrar o valor e a importância da Literatura Oral tendo como base a Literatura de Cordel no que diz respeito à cultura popular e criatividade literária do povo brasileiro, especificamente, o povo nordestino. Discutiremos os recursos utilizados em alguns folhetos, como, por exemplo, o mito do País da Cocanha e seu reflexo em algumas obras realizadas dentro deste gênero. Falaremos a respeito de como o mito é mostrado frente à realidade nordestina, baseado em questões sociais e históricas deste povo. O principal aspecto a ser debatido é a influência das características medievais (mito) na literatura atual brasileira, trazendo a literatura popular como principal fonte inspiradora.

The Oral Literature has a great importance for the formation of the identity of any community. This study has the purpose of showing the value and importance of Oral Literature based on Cordel Literature in relation to popular culture and creativity of Brazilian people, specifically the northeast people. We will discuss the resources used in some leaflets, for example, the myth of the Land of Cockaigne and its reflection in some works carried out within this genre. We'll talk about how the myth is shown in the reality of the Northeast, based on social and historical issues of the people. The main aspect to be discussed is the influence of the characteristics of medieval (myth) in the Brazilian literature, bringing the popular literature as the main source of inspiration.
