O estudo do Estado democrático latinoamericano : uma perspectiva relacional

Abstract

O presente trabalho parte do argumento de que a compreensão da realidade política latino-americana demanda discussões aprofundadas do conceito de Estado democrático. Assim, objetiva ressaltar a importância de se refletir sobre alguns aspectos da formação do Estado. Portanto, o interesse é trazer elementos para uma visão do Estado que comporte uma análise em conformidade com a realidade peculiar dos países latino-americanos. Para isso, propomos um estudo teórico e interpretativo das relações sociais que formam o Estado capitalista latino-americano, que leve em conta a especificidade presente na tensão entre as classes na América Latina. Finalmente, à luz da análise desenvolvida, busca-se debater algumas contradições entre o Estado capitalista e a democracia na região.

The present study is based on the argument that the relational approach of the State, posed by the elaborations of authors such as Nicos Poulantzas and Bob Jessop with other genuinely Latin American contributions, can contribute to the understanding of the Latin American political reality in its specificity, specially of the bourgeois-democratic state. Thus, through a bibliographical study and analysis, it aims to discuss the analytical potential of the proposed approach for the debate and understanding of the notion of State in Latin America. Among the conclusions, it is stated that this potential is verified in the fact that the proposed theoretical framework allows an interpretation from the specificities of each concrete social formation, as well as an understanding of why certain class interests are prioritized to the detriment of others in the state system.
