A dança do tatu com volta no meio e suas transformações estéticas : uma investigação sobre o conceito de tradição na estética das danças tradicionais gaúchas

Abstract

Este trabalho dedica-se ao estudo da estética das danças tradicionais gaúchas em âmbito competitivo, especificamente a dança do Tatu com Volta no Meio, quando apresentado na final dos ENARTs (Encontro de Artes e Tradição Gaúcha) de 2002 e 2017, pelos CTGs Raízes do Sul e Tiarayú, respectivamente. Neste estudo, entende-se que o ENART constitui parte fundamental da cultura tradicionalista, e portanto da cultura gaúcha como um todo. Contudo, por mais relevante que seja o papel sócio-cultural da dança tradicional gaúcha há ainda uma lacuna nos estudos dessa área pelo viés da estética. Por isso, o objetivo da pesquisa a seguir é estudar a estética do Tatu com volta no meio, e os fatores que possam ter levado a transformação da mesma, bem como das técnicas de seu fazer. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória com abordagem qualitativa, utilizando a metodologia de revisão bibliográfica e pesquisa videográfica. A pesquisa desvelou como motores influenciadores na transformação da estética da dança as publicações do MTG a partir de 2003, a realização dos painéis de danças tradicionais gaúchas a partir de 2004, e as diferentes formatações das equipes avaliadoras do ENART. Foi revelada intrínseca relação dessas alterações com o fator competitivo. Os resultados encontrados nesta pesquisa podem ser usados como disparadores de futuros trabalhos, bem como referencial teórico para outras pesquisas.

This work is dedicated to the study of the aesthetics of traditional gaucho dances in a competitive scope, specifically the dance “Tatu com Volta no Meio”, while performed at the finals of the 2002 and 2017 editions of the ENART by the CTGs “Raízes do Sul” and “Tiarayú”, respectively. In this study, it is understood that ENART is a fundamental part of the traditionalist culture, and therefore of gaucho culture as a whole. However, in spite of how relevant the socio-cultural role of the gaucho traditional dance is, there is still a gap in the studies of this area from an aesthetic point of view. Therefore, the goal of the following research is to study the aesthetics of the “Tatu com volta no meio”, and the factors that may have led to its transformation, as well as the techniques of its doing. It is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach, using methodology of literature review and video-footage analysis. The research unveiled, as influencing catalyst of the dance’s aesthetic transformation, the publications of the MTG since 2003, the realization of panels of gaucho traditional dances since 2004, and the different formatting of the evaluating teams of ENART. The intrinsic relationship of these alterations to the competitive factor was revealed. The results found in this research can be used as triggers for future works, as well as theoretical reference for other researches.
