Desvendando a etiologia do cisto ósseo aneurismático : revisão de literatura e um relato

Abstract

O cisto ósseo aneurismático é uma lesão benigna que atinge geralmente jovens e possui uma etiologia controversa onde não existe um consenso entre os autores na literatura atual. Suas características clínicas, radiográficas e histopatológicas são facilmente associadas à outras lesões, o que dificulta o diagnóstico e gera questionamentos com relação ao tratamento. Tendo em vista todos esses pontos, o objetivo do presente trabalho é realizar uma revisão de literatura sobre o cisto ósseo aneurismático, discutindo a etiologia da patologia bem como as características da doença e seu tratamento. Ademais, o trabalho será ilustrado com um caso clínico, onde se abordará as principais características clínicas, radiográficas e tratamento desse caso.

Aneurysmal bone cyst is a benign lesion that usually affects young people and has a controversial etiology where there is no consensus among authors in the current literature. Its clinical, radiographic and histopathological characteristics are easily associated with other lesions, which makes diagnosis difficult and raises questions regarding the treatment. In view of all these points, the objective of the present study is to carry out a review of the literature on aneurysmal bone cyst, discussing the etiology of the pathology as well as the characteristics of the disease and its treatment. The study also illustrates a clinical case, where the main features of the disease will be discussed, such as it’s clinical and radiological features and treatment.
