Dispositivos móveis: uma estratégia para refletir sobre os impactos das dsts e gravidez entre adolescentes

Abstract

O presente trabalho é uma pesquisa-ação com ênfase quali-quantitativa voltada a uma investigação sobre o conhecimento dos alunos de 8º e 9º anos em relação as temáticas DST (Doenças Sexualmente Transmissíveis), atualmente denominadas IST (Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis) e gravidez na adolescência através do uso de mídias móveis. A sociedade atual globalizada, informatizada, conectada à internet, permitiu que o acesso as redes sociais e as mídias. A escola insere-se nesse contexto, tanto que, em sala de aula, é perceptível o grande número de alunos que utilizam mídias móveis, principalmente o celular, para diversos fins, muitos deles não ligados à educação. Podemos observar que mesmo alunos de escolas públicas possuem acesso às mídias e a internet. Entretanto, essas escolas ainda apresentam estudantes com muitas dúvidas sobre temas educacionais que são de fácil acesso em sites educativos, entre esses assuntos estão DST (Doenças Sexualmente Transmissíveis) ou IST (Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis) e Gravidez na adolescência. Portanto, essa pesquisa buscou verificar através de questionários, pesquisa bibliográfica em sites, produção entrevistas por áudios e vídeos sobre os temas abordados e confecção de folder explicativo sobre o tema, se as mídias móveis poderiam contribuir para uma aprendizagem mais eficaz no atual contexto escolar atual.

The present paper is an action research with a qualitative and quantitative focus towards 8th and 9th graders’ knowledge-related investigation, in relation to STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) issues, currently referred as STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) as well as teenage pregnancy through mobile social media use. The globalized current society, based on computer-internet technology, allowed the access to social networks and media. The school is embedded in this context, since it is noticeable the great number of students who use mobile social media in the classroom, mainly cellphone, to several purposes, even though not all of them are linked to education. It’s possible to observe that even public school’s students have access to social media and internet. Nevertheless, these schools still have students with many doubts about educational issues, easily accessible on educational sites. Among these issues are STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) or STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) as well as teenage pregnancy. Hence, this study aimed to verify through questionnaires, bibliography research on sites, interview production by audios and videos about topics discussed as well as elaboration of explanatory folders on the theme, whether mobile social media could contribute for a more effective learning in the current school context.
