dc.description.abstract“Are these feelings real or just programmation?” The Spike Jonze film brings this and other concerns, which made me write about the subject of narcissism and the self-constitution from the interpersonal relationship. The following essay is based on Freud and Winnicott, but seeks an extension of the understanding and importance of the relation of the self with the other as constitutive of the self. In order to do this, there was a route though the cinematographic language with the aim of decentralizing the look of psychoanalytic knowledge. This analysis will be done with the purpose of investigating the relationship between psychoanalysis and cinema, with emphasis on the initial moments of the psychic constitution in search of the origins of this self-integration. As a trigger to unfold this essay, will be used fragments of the film, which will be analyzed in the light of cinema and psychoanalysis. According to Adorno: “the essay thinks in fragments (...)” (2003, p. 35). Therefore, these passages of the movie will be thought like fragments looking at the details not with the intent to cover the subject in a conclusion, but to put into words what the object allows to glimpse under the conditions generated by the act of writing” (p. 36).en
