Neste artigo, apresenta-se e discute-se os resultados de pesquisa realizada no Ambulatório de Doenças do Trabalho do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre (ADT/HCPA), tendo como principal objetivo determinar as relações das Lesões por Esforços Repetitivos/Distúrbios Osteomusculares Relacionados ao Trabalho (LER/DORT) com o processo produtivo e suas conseqüências sobre a saúde física e mental dos trabalhadores estudados.
