O impacto do estágio no desempenho acadêmico dos alunos de Administração da UFRGS

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal identificar e compreender de que maneira os estágios impactam/impactavam no desempenho acadêmico dos estudantes e egressos da Escola de Administração da UFRGS. O método de pesquisa escolhido foi a pesquisa quantitativa, tendo sido elaborado um questionário online que obteve 90 respostas. Através da análise de resultados foi possível identificar que, após começarem a estagiar, os estudantes frequentaram menos as salas de aula e passaram a estudar menos fora delas, além de considerarem que seus desempenhos acadêmicos, de forma geral, também pioraram. Foi possível também verificar se houve algumas mudanças de pensamento e comportamento dos estudantes, como, por exemplo, a diminuição de tempo disponível para se dedicar adequadamente à faculdade ou quanto à melhora na participação deles nas aulas. Também foi possível verificar as atividades e responsabilidades dos alunos no estágio, que ficam gradativamente mais complexas e na maioria dos casos têm relação com o que foi aprendido na faculdade.

The present work has as main objective to identify and to understand how the internships impact/impacted on the academic performance of the students and graduates of the School of Management of UFRGS. The research method chosen was the quantitative research, and an online questionnaire was elaborated, which obtained 90 answers. Through the analysis of results it was possible to identify that, after they became interns, students attended less of the classrooms and started to study less outside of them, in addition to considering that their academic performances, in general, also worsened. It was also possible to verify if there were some changes in the students' thinking and behavior, such as the reduction of the time available to devote themselves properly to the college or the improvement in their participation in the classes. It was also possible to verify the activities and responsibilities of the students at the internship, which are gradually more complex and in most cases have relation with what was learned in the college.
